First, what is the role of workcover in the enforcement of work health and safety act legislation? Second, how can a manager of human resource better improve the role of workcover in the enforcement of work health and safety act legislation? Third, what is the relation of the role of workcover in the enforcement of work health and safety act legislation and the management of human resource?
This paper is comprised of five parts. The first part is an introduction of the whole report, which highlights the research background, research objectives, research questions, and layout. The second part reviews the literature, which concentrates on the previous researches on the role of workcover in the enforcement of work health and safety act legislation. The third part and the fourth part are the main body of this report, which penetrate into the research objectives. The third part analyzes current role of workcover in the enforcement of work health and safety act legislation, from the perspective of risk transfer, losses sharing, compensation, and investment, whereas the merits and demerits are put forward. The fourth part provides some suggestion for manager of human resource to seize the role of workcover in the enforcement of work health and safety act legislation, which are raised from the respects of better understanding of workcover, proper planning for human resource, and multiple ways of workcover. Finally, a conclusion is drawn, which points for the limitation of this paper and the future development in this field.
